An English-Romanian explanatory dictionary of onomastic phrasemes
Abstract: Onomastic terminology is increasingly attracting the attention of researchers from all over the world, astestified by the growing number of publications treating this subject. An English-Romanian Explanatory Dictionary of Onomastic Phrasemes, written by Nadia-Nicoleta Morărașu and Floriana Popescu, aligns with this trend of popularizing scientific terminology, offering readers more or less well-known examples of phrases featuring anthroponyms, toponyms, mythonyms, or charactonyms.

Résumé : La terminologie onomastique attire de plus en plus l’attention des chercheurs du monde entier, comme en témoigne le nombre croissant de publications traitant du sujet. Le Dictionnaire explicatif anglais-roumain des phrasèmes onomastiques, écrit par Nadia-Nicoleta Morărașu et Floriana Popescu, s’inscrit dans cette tendance de vulgarisation de la terminologie scientifique, offrant aux lecteurs des exemples plus ou moins connus de phrasèmes contenant des anthroponymes, des toponymes, des mythonymes ou des charactonymes.

Zusammenfassung: Onomastische Terminologie zieht zunehmend die Aufmerksamkeit von Forschern aus der ganzen Welt auf sich, was durch die wachsende Zahl an Veröffentlichungen zu diesem Thema belegt wird. Ein Englisch-rumänisches Erklärwörterbuch der onomastischen Phraseme, verfasst von Nadia-Nicoleta Morărașu und Floriana Popescu, steht im Einklang mit diesem Trend der Popula-risierung wissenschaftlicher Terminologie und bietet den Lesern mehr oder weniger bekannte Beispiele von Phrasen, die Anthropo-nyme, Toponyme, Mythonyme oder Charakternamen enthalten.
